In addition to our martial study, Heijoshin Dojo also enjoys a strong social side (as we have a few entertaining characters in the dojo!). As a result, we make a point of enjoying each others’ company socially, with events around the Midlands as well as further afield. We will be indulging in the following this year:
April – Outdoor training session at Cannock Chase & Spring barbecue – morning keiko at the dojo, followed by outdoor practice in the Chase, then back to the dojo for food!
May – Bike Trekking day at Tissington Trail, a few hours of leisurely bike ride in the Peak District and then the rest of the day in/around the beautiful Buxton/Bakewell.
July – Whitewater Rafting day! Despite being mad enough on land, the Heijoshin boys & girls take to the water for a relaxing/panic-filled few hours in the rapids!
September – Snowdonia Weekend (Saturday Snowdon climb, overnight at local B&B, relaxing half-day on Sunday and journey back to the Midlands)
Requirements of dojo membership – dedication, a good sense of humour, and if you join us for social stuff, a sense of adventure!
